ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Nearly two years after Hurricane Helene devastated Western North Carolina, an online auction featuring autographed music memorabilia and local radio experiences will raise money for continued recovery efforts in Swannanoa.

Asheville Media Group’s Revival Continues benefit auction opens for bidding Thursday, Sept. 17, with proceeds benefiting Swannanoa Resilience Hub. The auction is presented by Massage Envy Asheville.

The auction is available to preview beginning Thursday, Sept. 10. Bidding will remain open through 5 p.m. Sept. 24.

Featured items include music memorabilia from U2, MJ Lenderman and Waxahatchee, STYX, Sebastian Bach, Goo Goo Dolls, Alice Cooper and other artists.

The auction also includes experiences with local radio personalities. One winning bidder will have the opportunity to join Gibson from 98.1 The River as his “Plus One” for a concert. Another can co-host an hour of The Melanie Show with Melanie Wilkinson on Mix 96.5.

Proceeds from the auction will support Swannanoa Resilience Hub, a locally led nonprofit helping residents throughout the Swannanoa Valley recover and rebuild following Hurricane Helene.

The organization provides disaster case management and helps residents navigate rebuilding, disaster assistance applications and other recovery resources. Its work also includes community events, educational programs, volunteer opportunities, the Swannanoa Farmers Market and partnerships with other organizations working on the valley’s long-term recovery.

The Revival Continues auction opens for bidding Sept. 17 and closes at 5 p.m. Sept. 24.
