Old Mars Hill Highway victim died after being struck by vehicle, officials say

WEAVERVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office say preliminary autopsy results reveal that a woman found dead along Old Mars Hill Highway was hit and killed by a vehicle.

Teresa Annette Davis, 45, was discovered deceased around 7 a.m., July 10, near 795 Old Mars Hill Highway by North Carolina State Highway Patrol deputies and troopers.

The NCSHP is now the lead agency investigating, the BCSO said.
