ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Residents and property owners near North Louisiana Avenue are invited to a neighborhood meeting about a proposed affordable housing project.

Civil Design Concepts is notifying those who live or own property within 400 feet of the potential development site, in accordance with the Unified Development Ordinance.

The meeting is scheduled for 5 to 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, on site at the southeast corner of Hazel Mill Road and North Louisiana Avenue.

The proposed project would include approximately 90 affordable apartments in a single building, offering a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom units. Plans also call for onsite parking with access from North Louisiana Avenue and internal amenities and leasing offices.
