Motorcyclist seriously injured in interstate collision with tractor-trailer

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — A motorcyclist was hospitalized today after a collision with a tractor-trailer on I-40 West.

According to Asheville Police Department Public Information Officer Rick Rice, APD officers responded to the crash around 3:28 p.m., Monday, July 6, on I-40 West near Winery Road.

“The motorcyclist was transported to Mission Hospital with serious injuries,” Rice said.
