ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Eastbound motorists on I-26 should be advised of a large traffic jam following an accident between the Asheville Regional Airport and Brevard Road exits.

Several fire and emergency vehicles are on the scene of the accident, which appears to have involved at least two vehicles, one of which had a crumpled hood.

No injuries were evident at the scene, although medical officials were present.

Traffic is slow moving and bottlenecked. If possible, detour from the area along Hendersonville Road from the Skyland exit.
