FLAT ROCK, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Vincent Price, a horror movie legend who appeared in over 100 films during his lifetime, would have been 115 years old on May 27, 2026. To mark the anniversary and to raise money for the Arts Council of Henderson County, the actor’s daughter, Victoria Price, partnered with Flat Rock Bistro Cinema for a screening of a little-seen Vincent Price documentary.

The documentary, “The Legacy of Vincent Price,” was shown for a sold-out crowd at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27 at the local Flat Rock theater. According to a Flat Rock Cinema press release, between Vincent Price memorabilia and ticket sales, the benefit screening raised $1,400 for the ACHC’s Arts in Schools program.

Arts in Schools is an initiative which “brings professional teaching artists directly into K–12 classrooms across Henderson County. Through workshops, performances, artist residencies and interactive demonstrations, students gain access to high-quality arts experiences during the school day,” the release said.

The fundraiser was close to home for Victoria Price, who made Hendersonville, N.C., her home base in 2020. The screening Victoria Price organized was a rarity for the United States, as the German-produced documentary does not have a United States release date.
