Crash on New Leicester Highway backs up traffic

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Fire and rescue crews responded to a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of Old County Home Road and New Leicester Highway late Friday morning.

The crash happened around 11 a.m., according to emergency officials.

A person traveling through the area reported traffic was backed up while EMS crews worked at the scene. There appeared to be injuries involved, though the extent of those injuries was not immediately available.

No additional details were immediately released.
