ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Authorities and the community are searching for a missing Swannanoa woman who was last seen Tuesday morning near the Swannanoa Fire & Rescue substation.

Charlotte Ann Roberts, 74, was reported missing from the area of 510 Bee Tree Road around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call Swannanoa Fire & Rescue at 828-230-1159.

Officials are monitoring social media for tips but said they may not respond to every comment immediately.

Multiple community members reported seeing Roberts on Tuesday morning. An employee at 6 Pack Smoke Stack said Roberts came into the store asking for change to buy a bus ticket to Asheville. Another person said she saw a woman matching Roberts’ description near a bridge around 8:45 a.m.

Other community members urged anyone who spots Roberts to take a photo to help verify her location and timeline.

Swannanoa Fire & Rescue and local residents are continuing the search, and officials are asking anyone with information to call 828-230-1159.
