ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The Asheville Tourists will host a free “BOO Ridge” Halloween event next month at HomeTrust Park, featuring a trick-or-treating trail and a family-friendly Halloween movie screening.

The gates will open for the BOO Ridge Halloween Movie Night, presented in partnership with Tanger Outlets, at 6 p.m., Friday, Oct. 23, 2026, at HomeTrust Park, 30 Buchanan Place, Asheville, N.C.

Local businesses will hand out candy on the trick-or-treating trail, which will last from 6-7 p.m. Trick-or-treat bags will be issued by Tanger Outlets at the event.

The movie will start at 6:30 p.m. Select concessions will be available for purchase until 7:45 p.m.

Costumes are not required, but they are “highly encouraged,” the Tourists said.

What movie will the Asheville Tourists show this Halloween?

The Tourists have selected “Hocus Pocus,” a 1993 Disney film about three 17th century witches who wreak havoc on modern-day Salem, Massachusetts, for the free, on-field screening.

The Tourists stadium movie night is the follow-up to a similar event from last June.

“BOO Ridge Halloween Movie Night is designed to bring the Asheville community together in a fun, family-friendly environment that highlights what the new ballpark is all about,” said Brian DeWine, Tourists owner and president.

“After the strong response and enthusiasm from our inaugural Tourists Movie Night in June, we’re listening to our community and building on that momentum with more opportunities for families to enjoy the ballpark in new ways. As we continue to reimagine HomeTrust Park as a year-round community hub beyond baseball, events like this allow us to welcome local families and businesses into the ballpark in meaningful, memorable ways. We’re excited to partner with Tanger Outlets and our local business community to create a special Halloween experience.”
