ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Food trucks are set to roll into downtown Asheville every Friday this fall.

Beginning Oct. 3 and continuing through Dec. 19, a different local food truck will serve in Pack Square Park each Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to Asheville city officials.

The program aims to support local vendors while drawing more activity to the downtown area. This week’s kickoff will feature Philly-style cheesesteaks.

Visitors are encouraged to scan a QR code on site to share feedback on what works well and how the experience could be improved.

The city will post weekly hints on social media about which food trucks are scheduled to participate.
