ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Asheville City Soccer Club is inviting fans to gather March 1 at Olde London Road for a day of international match watch parties and club festivities tied to the SheBelieves Cup.

The event will be held at Olde London Road, the club’s official pub and designated watch party venue, beginning with a 2 p.m. match between Canada and Colombia. Club festivities are scheduled to begin at 4 p.m., followed by the United States vs. Argentina match at 5 p.m.

Club officials said the pub will serve as the local home base for supporters of the U.S. Women’s National Team during the event.

Activities will include merchandise sales, appearances by Asheville City Soccer Club players and staff and a silent auction benefiting ACSC Just Play WNC, a community initiative affiliated with the club.

The March 1 gathering is part of a broader partnership between Asheville City Soccer Club and Olde London Road to host a series of watch parties and soccer-related events throughout 2026. Club leaders said the schedule will include events tied to major international tournaments, Premier League matches and USL-W and USL-2 competitions.

“This club and this sport are about community and family — and family needs a home,” Dr. Mathes Mennell, the club’s chief operating officer, said in a statement. “Olde London Road isn’t just a pub for us; it’s the heartbeat of where our supporters come together to watch the game.”

In a separate announcement, the club said it is seeking a new in-stadium public address announcer for home matches. Officials said the role includes delivering starting lineups, calling goals, reading sponsor messages and helping energize crowds of more than 1,000 fans.

Interested applicants are asked to contact Mennell by email at mathes@ashevillecitysc.com.
