4 bicycle thieves nabbed after nearly $50K in losses reported

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — The Asheville Police Department apprehended four people this week on bicycle theft charges. The arrests come after nearly $50,000 in losses were reported over the last couple of months.

According to APD, drone technology supported the arrest of Dakota Edward M Kudlacik, 30, Victor Shane Slack, 55, Tyler Dane Sherrill, 42, and Marc Robert Irvine, 51.

Kudlacik was charged with:

  • Felony Larceny
  • Felony Probation Violation
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Kudlacik was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $15,000 secured bond issued by a magistrate.

Slack was charged with:

  • Felony Larceny
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Slack was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $2,000 secured bond issued by a magistrate.

Sherrill was charged with:

  • Felony Larceny

Sherrill was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $2,500 secured bond issued by a magistrate.

Irvine was charged with:

  • Felony Larceny

Irvine was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $2,000 secured bond issued by a magistrate.
