19-year-old Lexington Avenue shooting suspect surrenders

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Calobe Leo Workman, 19, has turned himself in after a downtown shooting last week which left nine people injured.

Workman was charged with a felony, Discharge Firearm from an Enclosure to Insight Fears, after the shooting, which took place around 3:13 a.m. on North Lexington Avenue in downtown Asheville.

Workman was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under NO BOND (ineligible for release) by a magistrate.
