Annual ‘Baseball Night in Asheville’ Tickets Officially on Sale

With the sixth annual “Baseball Night in Asheville” quickly approaching (Friday, January 18, 2019), tickets for the highly-anticipated event are officially on sale.

Each ticket costs $63 (fees included), and every ticket includes access to the event, food, wine and beer. The event will start at 6 p.m. and will conclude at 9 p.m.

 

The guest speaker for the event is Oliver Drake. The right-handed pitcher has pitched in the majors for four seasons. He started his MLB career with the Baltimore Orioles in 2015, an during that season, Drake appeared in 13 games and sported a 2.87 ERA. Last year, the Naval Academy graduate pitched in 44 contests and accumulated over 47 innings of work. He also averaged over one strikeout per inning. Drake currently pitches for the Toronto Blue Jays.

 

“Baseball Night in Asheville” will once again be held at Highland Brewing, and the address to the brewery is 12 Old Charlotte Hwy, Asheville, N.C.

 

The title sponsor for “Baseball Night in Asheville” is Vannoy Construction. Other event sponsors include Twisted Laurel, Allegra, Highland Brewing, Biltmore Farms, Pepsi, Celebrations!, Poppy and Alsco.

Disc golf for a cause: Devil’s Foot organizes charity tournament

The 18-hole Grip It and Sip It disc golf competition will be held from 1-5 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 25 at the Asheville Municipal Disc Golf Course. Registration for two-player teams is $40 and includes entry, two custom Devil's Foot driver discs and drink tokens for an afterparty at The Mule.
