ASHEVILLE, N.C. – With excitement and anticipation inside Kimmel Arena, the UNC Asheville women’s basketball team hosted its fourth annual fantasy basketball camp, as it was yet again a big success.

Bulldog fans were able to live out their dreams of being an NCAA Division I basketball player on Thursday, as they were able to receive hands-on coaching from women’s basketball head coach Brenda Mock Kirkpatrick, her coaching staff and players.

Campers participated in fundamental stations, scouting, agility drills and a variety of games designed for campers of all ages.

“This was an awesome night and an amazing experience for everyone,” said Coach Mock. “We had a lot of repeat campers, and we also got some new people from the community as well as professors from the school. It was overall a great experience as usual. Associate Head Coach Honey Brown does an amazing job of organizing this event every year, and it’s always so much fun!”

The UNC Asheville women’s basketball team will open its 2018-19 schedule on Thursday, Nov. 8, as the Bulldogs travel to Charlotte for a non-conference bout. After a date with the Lady Vols on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m., the Bulldogs host their first game of the season inside Kimmel Arena on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 1 p.m. versus Mountain Rival Western Carolina.
